There are SOOOO many awesome TV specials each year.  One of my personal favorites is “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town”.  It’s not 100% accurate but it does make me think of younger skinny red-headed years.

The show first played on December 14, 1970 by a company named Rankin/Bass.  That company also made classics like “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer”.  There are many film stars of the time that do the voices and a performance by the Westminster Children’s Choir. The film tells the story of how I and several traditions came to be. It is based on the hit Christmas song “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town”. That song was introduced on radio by Eddie Cantor in 1934,

The special was created using Japanese stop motion animation called “Animagic”.  “Animagic” is when all the characters are made out of wood and plastic and animated via stop-motion photography. The special was originally telecast December 14, 1970 by ABC and continues to air every year.  The special has not been scheduled for 2020 yet but keep a look out here for updates!
